Do you think Cupid is the one who makes your insides melt, makes your knees go weak, and makes your pulse race when someone kisses you?
It’s what you were told, but it isn’t true. I do that all of that, and more, to try to keep the flames burning that Cupid sets.
They call me Cupid’s cousin, and I’m tired of cleaning up his messes, because lately, well . . . let’s just say Cupid has sucked at his job for most of the last century. It was hard enough for me to do my part in keeping couples happy when he made two people fall for each other that were a good match, now it just seems impossible and fewer and fewer couples have happy endings, anymore.
I want more happy endings.
When I confronted Cupid about his sloppiness I expected him to react badly, but I never anticipated what he would do to me. Now, I have a bigger mess to clean up than I could have ever imagined.
And this mess is one I’m smack dab in the middle of.
Dahlia resides in Tennessee where you can find her poking through bookstore shelves, occupying space in a coffee shop, and listening to live local singers and bands. Of course, she may not see you since she is usually far away in her brain dreaming up new ideas or cultivating existing ones.
Look for Dahlia on Facebook and Twitter and be sure to say hi because, when you can get her attention, she loves to talk, too.
